Synology Transactions Compatibility Tool
Synology Transactions Compatibility Tool is a desktop utility used to help you quickly verify the compatibility of your software and the Transactions application in Surveillance Station.
The Transactions application supports two types of data transmission protocols, TCP and COM port. Transactions Compatibility Tool receives
data through TCP or COM Port to run compatibility tests.
Note:
- Synology Transactions Compatibility Tool is currently only available on the Windows platform.
- Both Transactions Compatibility Tool and the Transactions application are used as TCP clients. Your software needs to be used as TCP server to send
data.
To run compatibility tests:
Please refer to the following steps to run the compatibility test:
- Open Synology Transactions Compatibility Tool.
- Choose the data transmission protocol you want to use and click Next.
- Enter data transmission protocol information:
- TCP Connection: Enter the data source of the TCP server: IP address and port.
- COM Port: Enter the connection information of the serial port.
- After setting up the data transmission protocol settings, please go to your transaction device to send messages to Transactions Compatibility Tool. Transactions Compatibility Tool will display received messages. If no data is displayed, you can click the No Data button to obtain more information.
- After confirming Transactions Compatibility Tool is able to receive data, please set up data definition. The options and display are consistent with the Data Definition settings of the Transactions application in Surveillance Station.
- The received data is displayed in the Raw data field on the lower left corner.
- Please set the rules for the start and end of the transaction.
- You can add a filter rule by clicking on the button at the upper right corner. You can ignore characters or replace characters with a line break or with other characters.
- The filter results will be displayed directly in the filtered data field, and the corresponding data will be marked in the original data.
- Your software is compatible with Surveillance Station if the filtered data display meets your requirement. If the filter method does not meet your requirement, please contact Synology.
